The high quality of the translation services you receive is assured throughout the complete process, ie. from your first contact until after we have delivered the requested translation to you. A Project Manager will be assigned to your project who will monitor the progress of the work and answer any question you may have.

Quality assurance involves several steps that need to be followed to produce translations that meet your expectations. Each project requires different expertise, therefore it is very important to identify the translator who has the necessary qualifications and experience matching your project. We apply a rigorous method for the selection of translators. Eligible translators have substantial knowledge and experience in a specialist field, a university level degree, proven experience in translation, suitable technical capacity, and references.

Another important issue of translation relates to the use of terminology and terminological consistency. This step involves the checking of the source document. The actual translation work may start only after all questions of the translators have been answered. Translators use translation memory software that ensures terminology consistency throughout the translation process.

The completed translation is checked by bilingual reviewers for accuracy in content, consistency and quality. If the document is not accepted by reviewers, the document will be returned to the translator for improvements.

Human translation vs. machine translation

Computer-based translation can be used to get the gist of a document but it is not intended to replace human translators. If it is a question of persuading potential clients to buy your products or use your services, it can be tricky to use machine translation. Here is an example: "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" translated from English into another language and back produced "The liquor is favorable but the meat is poor."

Translators with first language competence who are familiar with the vocabulary of your particular field are the key to produce high-quality translations. Translators living in the country of your target audience is a plus as they can ensure the use of up-to-date terminology.
